Lorac Mega Pro Palette!

Hello Lovelies!

I have finally found the opportunity to make some blog posts so look out for quite a few postings!

Now, let's get back to what this posting is truly about, drum roll please... THE LORAC MEGA PRO!
As soon as I heard Lorac was releasing the Mega Pro Palette I absolutely knew I had to get my hands on this baby since I am a Loracstar! I will be showing you the ins and outs of this palette from packaging to swatches. I hope you are as excited as I am.

If you already own either the Lorac Pro or Pro 2 you will be familiar with the box packaging of the Mega Pro. The difference between the Pro palettes packaging and the Mega Pro is that the Mega Pro is larger than a single Pro palette, but if there were to Pro palettes above and below one another it would equal the size of the Mega Pro.
How beautiful is this palette?! The Mega Pro is a gorgeous maroon color with the Lorac Mega Pro wording in gold which helps the palette stand out, besides the size. The feel of this palette is similar to the Lorac Pro and Pro 2 which is sleek and soft.
Every time I look at this palette I fall even more in love with it! Here we have the Mega Pro open from top to bottom. The mirror is a wonderful size and very useful, however when you flip the mirror to use you must be careful of where you place your fingers/hands to they don't slip into the shadows! Trust me it could happen.
The Mega Pro includes 16 matte shadows and 16 shimmer shadows for a total of 32 shadows in all. In this palette there are 4 returning shadows that have been in either the Lorac Pro or Pro 2.
He we have a close up of the 16 matte shadows. Cream, White, Espresso and Black are the four returning colors meaning that the other 12 shades are all new!
Look at how beautiful these shimmer shades are! These are all 16 new shades and they are absolutely beautiful.

Now on to my favorite part of this post... THE SWATCHES! I swatched all 32 shades with and without primer to help show the differences of the pigmentation.

Here we have the 16 matte shadows without primer. As you can see Cream, Fawn, Orchid, Khaki and Lilac barely show any pigmentation, but that could also be due to the paleness of my arm. However, the other shadows still show some nice pigmentation.
We have the same 16 matte shadows but with the use of MAC's Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly as the primer/base. Cream and Fawn still lack some pigmentation compared to the others. The base helped bring some more pigmentation to Orchid, Khaki and Lilac as well as to the rest of the shadows.
Now for the 16 shimmer shades without primer. They all come out pigmented besides Blush which looks faint. The other shades are rich with pigmentation and that's great seeing as a primer or base was not used to help enhance pigmentation.
Here we have the same 16 shimmer shades with the MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly as the primer/base. Even though the majority of the shades were pigmented , the primer/base enhanced the pigmentation making the shadows look absolutely stunning.

We have now reached the conclusion of this post, however, I still have more to say about this palette. The Lorac Mega Pro is absolutely beautiful from mattes to shimmers. Similar to the previous Pro palettes, the shadows are creamy, especially the shimmer shades. I am truly amazed by how fantastic this palette is and how versatile this palette can be to create various looks with this one palette. I have used the Mega Pro once to create a look for the Demi World Tour and I was in love with the random look I created.

Unfortunately this palette is limited edition and is unavailable on the Lorac website, however you may or may not be able to find and purchase this palette on Amazon. I am not 100% positive if this palette is still available on Amazon.

If you are interested in seeing anything else or want me to create looks with this palette make sure you comment down below!

Until next time,
Tanya Marie
